I have a 6 month contract with our client, Columbus, OH. I need a Java Developer, *must be local to Ohio*, and must *have very good communication skills. * *6-12 Months Contract* In addition, they must be solid in Java, as well as multiple databases (Oracle, SQL), front end development with JQuery, Javascript, HTML 5, etc. I supplied a full list of desired technologies. The main technologies they could do without are groovy and grails. *SPECIFIC SKILLSETS:* Languages: Groovy, Java, Javascript Web Frameworks: Grails, Spring MVC Front end: Javascript HTML 5, CSS, JQuery, AJAX, DOM Scripting Databases: Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server, Ability to data model to 3NF SQL: Be able to build complex queries from an existing database Persistence: Hibernate Application Servers: Glassfish, Apache Tomcat, TOMEE+ Continuous Integration: Jenkins, Gradle, ANT, MAVEN, GANT, Artifactory Testing: JUNIT, Spock, Monkito Source Code Repository: Subversion, Git Operating Systems: UNIX (Linux), Windows ETL Integration: Talend Open Studio Web Services: JAX-RS, JAX-WS *POSITION SUMMARY*: Responsible for technical analysis and design of software applications. Requires an in-depth knowledge of software development standards & methods in order to write, test, and debug computer programs, application interfaces and /or business intelligence reporting objects. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES**:* · Evaluates existing programs in order to determine their utilization in providing for the current requests for information and determining alternative uses for programs. · Develops specification for new programs or program modifications as needed. · Designs program logic by flow charting and narrative description to modify existing programs and create new programs. · Tests computer programs and systems by compiling programs into machine language, executing program or system and analyzing results; identifies and corrects logic sequence and syntax errors. · Coordinates production by job set-up, job breakdown, analysis of results and distribution of computer output to provide computer users with required data. · Assists in designing of systems and system input/output layout; assists in evaluation of system to determine needed modification. · Documents production processing of data, programs and systems by use of narrative descriptions and graphic representations according to standardized documentation guidelines. · Responds to a variety of data and information requests; extracts data and creates customized reports as needed. · Monitors the accuracy and completeness of reported information; conducts research necessary to resolve discrepancies in data. · Provides technical assistance, support and training to end users. · Maintains communication with users to discuss system requirements, data needs, program development or revision, and the like. · Develops and maintains appropriate communication and relationships with all departments and officials of appropriate agencies. · Resolves problems, situations or issues in a collaborative, tactful, courteous and respectful manner. · Creates and maintains technical user and system manuals. · Prepares required documentation and reports. · Maintains complete data processing application records and files. · Performs other duties as assigned.
