Duration: 7 Months.

*POSITION SUMMARY*
The Senior Linux Administrator is responsible for effective
installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware
and software, and related infrastructure (servers, local network, and phone
systems), in a Windows OS, Linux OS , hardware and software environment.
This position works closely with the local business, in an R&D and software
development environment. He will assist in the support of the tools used by
the local Business (software development tools).
The system administration tasking will be focused on improving the
stability and performance of the system, maintaining and improving the
security posture of the systems, provide Tier III/other support per
request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. This
position will focus on Linux, Network, Servers admin, and assist the Senior
IT Support Admin who is responsible for Windows .
Responsibilities:
- Systems
- Install, configure, setup, and maintain servers, running Windows,
Linux
- Participate to global infrastructure administration (Active
directory, Office 365…)
- Local support of on-site
- Network
- Support various LAN/WAN applications.
- Local Network setup and maintenance
- Familiarity with WAN technology
- Administration
- Experience in Linux and Windows environment
- Management of local hardware and software assets
- Ensure IT Security policies and rules are deployed in the site
- Interface with R&D engineers and understand and proactively meet
and anticipate their needs
*Qualifications / Qualifications:*
- 9+ years of Technical Support Experience in a windows linux environment
- The ability to interface with engineers and understand and proactively
meet and anticipate their needs
- Have strong technical and interpersonal skills
- Be able to support the existing IT resource
- Have good network skills
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written correspondence)
in a professional and courteous manner with technical and non-technical
personnel.
