Here is a new Systems Architect in our Manassas office for our 6 Months project, Interviews will be phone followed by in-person in Manassas. *Description:* *Systems Architect Location = Manassas, VA, Duration = 6 Months contract, Interview = phone, followed by in-person* *Required:* - At least 5-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing solutions in an enterprise environment - Solaris 10/11, Red Hat Linux 5/6 in an enterprise environment - Enterprise applications - Oracle 11g, WebLogic 10, SAS 9, Cognos 8, etc Firewall and networking experience - Experience with tiered architectures e.g. presentation, application, data - Familiar with ITSM/ITIL management concept - Familiar with NIST security guidelines, e.g. Special Publication (SP) 800-53 Controls - Familiar with USGCB (United States Government Configuration Baseline) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Desired:* - Experience with Event Management, Performance Management and Managed Entity Inventory Management processes and tools - Experience with Security-related architecture and design - Experience creating logical and physical system designs with Visio - Worked in US government datacenter environment *Role and Responsibilities:* - Ensure compliance with the customer's Technical Reference Architecture (TRA) and other technical and security standards - Promote customer's Enterprise Architecture objectives - Participate in the planning, architecture, and design of customer projects - Provide support to project teams for documentation (e.g. physical system designs and Technical Review Board (TRB) presentations - Develop and maintain the strategic IT plan to address the future needs and plans for enterprise architecture, platforms, technologies, and tools required to sustain a high level of application performance - Perform trade studies on technologies and provide recommendations - Facilitate and manage problem resolution of Production issues across all functional teams (network, UNIX, Windows, virtualization, storage, database, etc.) Regards: Sam Williams - Recruiting Manager ITBrainiac Inc.
