TITLE: AS400 Synon Lead & Developer's START:ASAP DURATION: 1+ YEAR Contract LOCATION: The Woodlands, Texas (North of Houston) MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: · 10+ years recent programming and production support experience in AS/400 using SYNON (currently called CA 2E and formerly known as: Synon/2, Synon/2E, COOL:2E, Advantage 2E, AllFusion 2E). · Strong communication skills with significant experience working directly with users to understand their requirements and resolve their application issues. DESIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE: · Prefer some experience working on custom built applications involving Consumer Finance (Credit, Loan Processing and Collections). · Prefer some experience working on applications in the Retail industry that provide functionality in areas such as Warehousing/ Pricing/ POS/ Marketing. · Any experience using commercial conversion tools to convert AS/400 code to Java or using bridging technology to enable the use of AS/400 code for e-business would be a big plus but not required. · Any experience using commercial conversion tools to convert DB2 to SQL would be a big plus but not required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain AS/400 Synon code for retail industry applications that involve providing customers with credit financing and collections.
