Job Title        :      SENIOR VOICE ENGINEER
Location        :      Redmond, WA
Duration        :       6+ Months

Description:
Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related,
or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
5 years related experience in telephone systems/software, voice engineering
(hardware and software), and designing, planning, implementing voice
systems.
3 years experience with ACD  - preferred Cisco UCCE - technology.
3 years experience in VoIP or voice network engineering.
Knowledge of industry standards; exhibits full knowledge of industry
practices to solve complex problems of a wide scope and complexity
following established polices and procedures, includes functioning as
technical lead and support for telecommunications systems.
Ability to analyze, define, and identify technical problems with systems
Solid knowledge of basic telephone service telecommunication fundamental
system operation and support, and type of transmission techniques;
operation of private branch exchange features, traffic programs, and
traffic reports
Knowledge of Microsoft server principals and support; data communication
architectures, design, and support
Solid experience in analyzing operations, coordination and carrying out
special projects from planning through implementation and support, with
voice and network systems.
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: Successful
development and implementation of new technologies and work processes;
competency in project management and the execution of projects with
experience in cross-functional environments; strategic thinking;
multidisciplinary high-performance work teams/groups; developing efficient
and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
Solid technical skills covering computer networks, hardware, wide range of
PC products and practices and procedures used in IT support roles.
Solid knowledge of PSE applications/procedures and processes (REMEDY,
Visio, ISR’s, Budget, Change Control, PSE Cable Management Database).
Knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure, data, voice, Telco, PC
and/or business systems, concepts, practices and procedures.
Proficiency with Cisco IOS commands, software upgrades and with basic
network switching and routing topologies.
Proficiency with VoIP system protocols, including QOS.
Demonstrated expertise and/or certification in several of the following:
Cisco Call Manager; Cisco ICM or other ACD systems; Cisco IP Contact Center
or other call center systems; Cisco Inter-Connecting Network Devices
(ICND); Unified messaging, voice mail; PBX; Demonstrated knowledge in CAD
systems, detailing facilities and wiring diagrams; Demonstrated knowledge
of voice recording technologies and systems.
