This system interfaces with Alfresco (enterprise content management) for document management and workflow automation functions. The system provides access to external users (Citizens and Organizations) and internal users (SBWC staff). External users submit Workers Compensation Claim information primarily using Board forms (documents and metadata), which gets processed by the internal users via pre-established workflows. The information can be filed by external users via electronic batches (electronic data interchange - EDI), online or via paper. The agency generates notifications, sends via mail and email. The new application is a rewrite of an existing application. The data and documents are being migrated to the new system as part of this project. This project is in flight, built in incremental methodology. Testing will be a single person effort, and will be responsible to test all aspects of the system including functionality and data. We are looking for a person who has rich experience in such roles and can work independently. There is no telework for this position, and candidate should be willing to attend in-person interview. Job duties: Create test scenarios and test scripts based on the use cases. Execute test scripts manually and document the test results. (manual testing) Test user interface, page flow and offer inputs Coordinate with developers to get the test data/access setup and to track the defects. Support user acceptance testing Ability to test the data using SQL – Validate migrated data Ability to interact with technical people, business users, and business analyst Perform regression testing Candidate must be able to work independently. This is a single member testing effort. Job Qualifications: Should be a senior QA professional with more than 6 years of experience in testing web applications Must be able to understand use cases. Must be able to write SQL queries to retrieve necessary data for testing/validation. Familiarity with claims processing OR case management systems OR workflow automation OR document management system is a plus but not mandatory. Must be able to understand high level data tables and relationships Must be a team player, and should understand all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Should be detail oriented and willing to learn about the business of SBWC Should be able to understand electronic/batch submission of data to the system apart from online submission.
