 Description of Work:



Hennepin County are continuing to move forward with its multi-year plan to
mature Microsoft SharePoint 2013 environment as their platform for
collaboration. In order to support the effort, we are looking for a Senior
SharePoint Solutions Developer, who will be required to lead/participate in
the following tasks/activities.



*Overview:*

1.       Work as a resource to implement SharePoint functionality and
features as defined by the HSPHD and Enterprise Governance Committees.

2.       Work closely with the Site Collection Administrators, Enterprise
Development, the SharePoint Architect, and our stakeholders to complete the
SharePoint Roadmap.

3.       Build a strong working relationships with Web Technology Team in
order to provide guidance on SharePoint development and other related
topics.

4.       Finally, based on the current backlog, work as a resource to
complete projects and tasks assigned by HSPHD Web Technology Team and its
manager.



*Design and Develop: *

1.       Participate in business, technical and design discussions.  Offer
options.

2.       Translate the documented business requirements into documented
system requirements, recommend options, create prototypes, demo to users,
develop a solution, implement, train, document, and finally hand over to
the stakeholders for ownership.

3.       Develop, configure, test and deploy document libraries, lists,
custom web parts, workflows and other SharePoint solutions in a distributed
environment based on documented requirements.

4.       Assess existing environments and documentation.  Recommend
improvements.

Required Skills:



The Senior SharePoint Solutions Developer is an individual contributor
responsible for the planning, developing, and providing quality technical
solutions of information models and approaches for ensuring maximum
leveragability of Information at Hennepin County.

   1. Critical thinking, problem solving, design, and most critically,
   attention to performance, scalability, reliability, availability at the
   system and component level.
   2. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle
   diverse situations, and multiple projects.

3.       Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to
communicate with key decision-makers and partners.

4.       Ability to estimate work effort; troubleshoot already developed
components (workflow, InfoPath forms etc.)

   1. Knowledge of QA procedures (Code review, Estimating, Peer review,
   Impact Analysis, Root cause analysis, etc.)

6.        Ability to effectively multi-task and mentor other developers.

7.       Graduation from an accredited college or university with a
Bachelor’s degree or higher.



8.       5+ years’ experience working as a SharePoint Solution
Designer/Developer and Information Architect in a large SharePoint setup of
multiple SCAs and SOs. Excellent knowledge of designing and building
solution using workflows in SharePoint (2013).

9.       5+ Knowledge of SharePoint functionalities, best practices
associated with SharePoint (2013) and building forms using InfoPath (2013);
experience in leveraging web services.

10.    5 years’ experience with SharePoint workflows, taxonomy creation,
including metadata, content classification, controlled vocabularies and
social tagging systems, content architecture (content types, metadata
requirements and search configuration recommendations (best bets,
thesaurus, search UI).
