Responsibilities Include: Create and implement project plans in accordance with business requirements and with the help of domain experts. Create Business Requirements, Agile Stories, or business designs used for project execution and ensure they are aligned with business strategy. Update the project plan on a regular basis, including deliverables, dependencies, assignments and outcomes. Manage multiple concurrent projects throughout their full lifecycle, from business analysis through project start up, execution, completion and wrap-up. Obtain approval on proposed scope and prioritization changes. Regularly communicate with project sponsors and team in order to ensure the project’s purpose, background, scope, requirements, and important issues are known and addressed. Prepare communication plan and project reports to key stakeholders to provide updates on activities and deliverables, as well as significant changes, risks and mitigation strategies. Conduct stakeholder meetings. Work as necessary to help assure project success. Identify and manage overall project dependencies and ensure project deliverables meet project expectations. Identify project risks and critical paths and mitigate issues with project team and stakeholders. Follow development process and project management best practices, and drive their continuous improvement. Accomplish department and organization missions by completing related tasks as needed. Complete other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field and Master’s Degree is a plus Having obtained or actively pursuing Project Management Professional certification. Minimum of 3 years experience of increasing project management responsibilities and successful project completions. Experience specific to software development is a big plus. Understand Project Lifecycle methodologies. Understand how technical issues impact the business drivers. Ability to customize project management processes, tools, and templates as required. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all departments and at all levels of the organization, including senior management. Possess strong presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to reconcile key stakeholder interests, conflicting priorities, and business strategy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Requirements for the STAR Technical Project Manager: Knowledge of mainframe operations, processes, and tools. Experience with Unisys 2200 administration is a big plus. Project management experience involving the planning, development, and deployment of enterprise infrastructure. Understanding of software development and testing procedures.
