Job Description
Key Skill Sets: Windows, Active Directory, and Exchange
Candidate should be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following:
* Windows 2003 Active Directory implementation and troubleshooting
including GPOs and logon scripting
* Windows Server 2003 and 2008 support and implementation
* Advanced network configuration, such as network teaming and network
assisted load balancing
* Advanced OS concepts (e.g., memory management, file systems,
processes/thread management, security, file sharing)
* Security - basic O/S lines of defense, password issues, group
policies/issues (e.g. rights inheritance), basic captive accounts, registry
troubleshooting; system policy editor
* Windows Clustering - MSCS (Veritas a plus)
* Windows SAN attached LUNs and multipathing software
* Large environment experience including support of systems in remote
locations
* Networking topologies and difference between ACLs and firewalls

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* The ideal candidate will possess strong, SA skills across all of
these technologies, good business acumen and a proven ability to produce
results in a competitive environment.
* A minimum of five years of hands-on technical experience relevant
technology, including:
* Windows server operating systems and architectures, including 2003
and 2008.
* Active Directory 2003 architecture and implementation
* Server and desktop hardware architectures and systems
* Storage architectures and systems including storage virtualization
and consolidation
* Infrastructure management software
* Core knowledge of Systems Administration on platforms discussed
above
* Previous experience managing / supporting a 24 x 7 server
environment at a large (500+ server) firm
* Detailed understanding of high availability architectures such as
server clustering
* Demonstrated knowledge in platform and operational best practices
* Working knowledge of security fundamentals
* Working knowledge in leveraging scripting to accomplish needs - in
particular vbscript and powershell
