Description:

This position will be responsible for configuring, customizing and
supporting a continuous delivery model by automating software build and
package migration processes. Duties include planning, customizing and
maintaining the TFS version control system (branching models and security);
customization and maintenance of build definition scripts and the
customization of work item types, areas and iterations.



This position would work closely with key members of the development and
operations teams as they prepare to utilize the features and functionality
of TFS 2015.



Position Responsibilities include:

·         Responsible for functioning as the Technical SME for the
Enterprise TFS 2015 system and Application Lifecycle Management processes
and procedures.

·         Responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining and
documenting a Release Management solution that supports the Department of
Labor & Industry goals and objectives while meeting all agency and
Commonwealth policies and procedures.

·         Responsible for configuring application builds and automated
deployments using the TFS Build and Release features.

·         Responsible for designing, documenting, implementing and
maintaining scripts to enhance current build and release processes.

·         Participate in the improvement, documentation, communication and
enforcement of configuring TFS processes and procedures for application
development teams.

·         Responsible for enhancing the existing TFS architecture,
configuration, procedures and processes to provide a more robust,
dependable and flexible system.

·         Responsible for Identifying improvements to project standards to
achieve high quality services and applications.

·         Demonstrates expertise in customization of TFS Work Items Types,
Process Templates, Build Scripts, Work Areas and Iterations.

·         Demonstrates expertise in software branching activities and can
assist project teams with implementing recommended strategies.

·         Demonstrates expertise in teaching/conveying technical and
functional concepts of TFS to Commonwealth staff.

·         Coordinates design reviews of the TFS 2015 environment to verify
that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements.

·         Provides accurate estimates for design and programming efforts
for product changes and enhancements.

·         Anticipates, identifies, tracks, and resolves issues and risks
affecting own work and work of the Application Team and Commonwealth
Product Administrator.

·         Determines time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve
issues in a timely manner.

·         Identifies and tracks issues, risks and action items.

·         Makes sound recommendations on functional and technical
improvements to the TFS product.

·         Analyzes the functional and technical impact of TFS planning
decisions.

·         Develops appropriate functional and usability standards for TFS.

·         Performs impact analyses on production fixes and enhancements to
establish priorities.

·         Provides basic product support and provide accurate and complete
answers to detailed product questions in a timely manner.
