*please reply on: jenny.sm...@itbtalent.com <jenny.sm...@itbtalent.com>* The main activities of the role are: • Define the API strategy and lifecycle and launch the effort to treat Tweddle APIs like products • Support API strategy and articulate the vision and mission of the API product roadmap, including implementation and prioritization • As Product Owner, manage execution for a specific APIs from product definition and planning through production, release, and end-of-life • Develop user stories and requirements while evaluating their potential and practicality by analyzing market and customer needs • Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the API(s) move to production and distribution • Act as user champion when coordinating product development with business stakeholder and align all development activity with business goals and priorities. • Manage the product backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement), working day-to-day with the product SCRUM teams to clarify requirements balancing business needs with technical requirements • Collaborate with business development on the development of product positioning, demo design, sales collateral, etc. to ensure that business objectives are achieved • Determine the appropriate product Release Date and Content • Actively manage internal and external stakeholders • Accept or reject the product teams work results at each Sprint Review meeting • Maintain a basic knowledge of software development and the API industry • Provide regular reporting including product spend, scope, schedule and planning Key accountabilities and tasks are: • Product vision and backlog management o Working with the product team to provide clear vision, direction and priority of the Product Backlog o Attend all required Scrum meetings (Sprint Planning, Product Backlog Grooming, Sprint Review) o Provide the Team feedback on their performance at the end of each Sprint • Product ROI o Ensure product development budgets are spent in a way that maximizes return on investment while minimizing business risk. o Determine the profitability of each product feature based on the cost to develop versus the forecast revenue/benefit. o Conduct the build vs. buy assessment and present recommendation o Hold team accountable to their commitments and to the money spent on developing features. You have: • Experience as a Scrum Product Owner or similar role for 3rd party consuming pay-for-usetransactional APIs • Experience capturing and managing software product requirements as User Stories • Demonstrable knowledge of software development lifecycles and activities • The desire to be part of, and to contribute to, a team environment • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously • A clear ability to manage a range of different personality types in a facilitative and mature manner • Strong relationship building skills including the ability to relate constructively to all levels of the organization • Strong listening and written and oral communication skills • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical addressees • Ambition and the ability to be self- directed • Bachelor’s degree in various fields of study are applicable. Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, etc. You might also have: • A software development background providing experience in API design, development, and operation • Scrum Product Owner Certification and/or Scrum Master Certification • Experience with the Atlassian Jira Agile ( www.atlassian.com/software/jira/agile) • Experience with Aha!
