Computer Systems Analyst Job description: The qualified applicant will lead and manage CDC.gov infrastructure technical issues including liaison with Mid-Tier, Search optimization, security support, PWP implementations, blog setup etc. Roles and Responsibilities: Defines new ways of resolving issues and fulfilling service requests. Design system architectures for and support the operations of the internal (Intranet) and external (Extranet) Web environments Resolve technical problems in the server environment, working within a group of other engineers Work with the extended technical Infrastructure Group (Servers, Operations, Storage, Network Security, Database, etc.) to design and deploy systems Partner with Application Development Staff on the design and deployment of custom applications Lead and manage large scale Web efforts, including platform application evaluations and installations and Web server Migrations (i.e. IIS 6 to IIS 7) Report information security incidents per defined information security incident management process, providing audit details and analysis Liaise with internal business clients as part of the application lifecycle Work with external software vendors during the COTS lifecycle Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on IMFs Web streaming infrastructure Coordinates and leads the resolution of complex technical problems within area of technology concentration. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: „ Requires advanced knowledge of infrastructure technology. „ Bachelor's degree, preferably in related field preferred or equivalent work experience „ Minimum 6 years I.T. experience „ Proven track record of troubleshooting, supporting and deploying web applications in large scale Intranet/Extranet/Internet environments comprising multiple, disparate systems „ Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills „ Strong oral and written communication skills „ Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implications. „ Jointly develops practical implementation plans that consider cultural sensitivities with other accountable parties. „ Encourages informed Risk-taking and acts as a catalyst for innovation at Cardinal Health; generates practical, sustainable and creative options to solve problems and create business opportunities, while maximizing existing resources. „ Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices. „ Performs assessments and listens to internal/external customers to understand and anticipate their needs and determine their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise. „ Previous experience supporting a multi-tier web application environment, preferably one with load-balancing, high-availability, and disaster recovery capabilities. „ Experience with web server configuration (primarily IIS, but Apache experience highly). Good written and oral communication skills. „ Basic programming experience with .NET (preferably C#), Java, or PHP is a plus. Prior web development experience.
