*Title: Sr System Admin* *Location: Sunnyvale, CA* *Duration: 6 Months + * *Job Description:* The ideal candidate can think on their feet and can learn/adapt quickly. We are looking for experienced critical thinkers and engineers that like to understand the whole picture and not just follow a script. Complex technical troubleshooting and logic skills are paramount and will be expected. They should have at least 6-10 years of administration/engineering experience and want to be challenged. The candidate will report to a more senior onshore engineer that will give direction and challenge them to learn more. They should be deep in Linux and related systems administration concepts and able to troubleshoot the full stack (hardware and software) They will be expected to manage incoming escalations that occur during PST and take ownership of those items that are not pressing but can be completed during the next shift. They will be responsible to coordinate activities with junior admins (on and off shore) They will help with support during critical P1s and will be considered level 3-4 escalation paths (experts) *Detailed Requirement:* · Operating Systems 5-10 years · Has setup and configured Linux/*nix file systems and logical volumes from an administrative standpoint Is Required · Team Skills 5-10 years · Has effectively worked in an technical team, taken direction and proven ability to manage time/tasks Is Required · Operating Systems 10+ years · Has written shell scripts in a Linux or *nix shell language and can read/write in shell Is Required · Operating Systems 5-10 years · Has worked with Perl from a systems administration standpoint and/or written in Perl to complete administrative tasks Is Required · Java Technologies 5-10 years · Has worked with Java based technologies from an administrative standpoint and/or supported Java or web based systems Is Required · Operating Systems 5-10 years · Linux administration (all areas of OS and systems management) Is Required · Operating Systems 5-10 years · Server and Storage Administration 10+ years · Virtualization technologies (oVirt/RHEV KVM bonus) Is Required · Communication Skills 10+ years · Able to communicate and comprehend english fluently Is Required · Analytical Skills 10+ years · Able to troubleshoot complex problems, apply logic and the scientific method to come to a logical conclusion Is Required · Server and Storage Administration 5-10 years · Server and Storage Administration 5-10 years · Blade system server technologies (esp.
