Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 12 Months In person interview The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a Business Analyst contractor for an approximately 12 month engagement for the Department's PMO Organization supporting the DMV Modernization Program. The Business Analyst will be responsible for development of business requirements for a DMV and DOT change management and tracking solution. The number of change requests and project requests received for DMV changes as well as legislative changes initiated by enacted laws must be tracked, coordinated and followed up on through implementation. Role responsibilities: 1. Analyze work requests and determine areas impacted and assist in development of initial estimates 2. Coordination of Agency Change Management Board to include work effort approvals and prioritization 3. development of IT project requests documentation, initialization of projects and tracking of work efforts 4. Assist in Resource Capacity Planning to include reporting and What-If scenarios on proposed work. 5. Track legislative actions that effect DOT IT organization that could result in additional work efforts for DOT IT. Description (including, but not limited to): 1. Managing business analysis work or projects with distinct deliverables to a solution 2. Identifying and documenting business processes, issues, value levers, metrics, and capabilities 3. Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data 4. Completing analysis and documentation of as-is capabilities 5. Conducting interviews to gather business requirements 6. Conducting industry, competitive and State analyses (strategic, financial, operational), business case development, as well as market research for benchmarking 7. Supporting required system go-live activities, including conversion, support desk, site support, training delivery, logistics management, etc. 8. Supporting change management and communications programs and activities 9. Performing PMO activities related to project time tracking, work plan updates, status reporting, service metric reporting, and related project administration tasks Business Process Analysis, requirements development and documentation Required7Years Experience working at PMO and Program Level and coordination of deliverables across multiple efforts.
