Hyperion Reports Developer Location: Boston MA Duration: 3 months + Under minimal direction, develops and implements tools or applications for accessing and analyzing data and metadata Under minimal direction, provides administrative support to the Hyperion software (Workspace, Shared Services, Data Services, and Physical Resources Components) to ensure top performance, minimal user problems, and minimal downtime. This includes installing and configuring software, installing patches and upgrades, leading migrations, and providing advanced user support. Customizes tools and data sets for use by different types of data consumers Develops business-oriented metadata definitions Designs and develops training for end users Prepares documentation that defines and prioritizes end-user requirements Provides data expertise and a mastery of relevant business processes Contributes to technical and architectural design of database and mapping specs Adheres to and drives report development and usability standards Anticipates and resolves problems. Coaches and mentors team members. Has some interaction from user level to first-line management level Leads medium to large projects Able to estimate and manage project tasks
Position Requirements and Qualifications: At least 6 years working in IT development experience supporting Data Warehouse environments and at least 4 years in Business Intelligence. At least 4 years experience working with Hyperion v9 or higher including Hyperion Interactive Reporting, Studio and/or Designer, Essbase optional. Similar experience with Cognos, Business Objects, Microstrategy is a plus. Experience with data visualization and in-line memory BI tools also a plus. At least 3 years experience working with Oracle, Toad, SQL and Java Scripting Experience with training users on new Hyperion features and functions. Proven individual contributor and team player with high communication skills Ability to thrive in change by having a fast, flexible, cooperative work style and ability to reprioritize at a moment’s notice.
