Analyze, map and migrate data from one system to another 2. Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines. 3. Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications. 4. Assisting in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications. 5. Consult with administrators to propose solutions to information systems problems. 6. Oracle Forms and PL/SQL development. 7. Oracle Forms, PL/SQL and data analysis. 8. Participate in the development of standards and in-house training materials for other program staff. 9. Perform technology and architecture upgrades to ensure the stability of applications in the DEP portfolio. 10. Provide application maintenance, enhancement and support for a variety of the agency’s business applications. 11. Provide development support to the Application Maintenance Services (AMS) Team. 12. Provide maintenance, enhancement and support for a variety of the agency’s Java applications 13. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior programmers and staff. 14. Provide policy, procedures and application specific information to other developers when requested. 15. Research and document requirements of program users. 16. Work with customers, users, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. 17. Work with network administrators, systems analysts and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems. 18. Write, translate and code software programs and applications according to DEP specifications. The candidate must meet or exceed the following qualification requirements: – 2+ years’ experience in PHP – 4+ years’ experience in Classic ASP – 6+ years’ experience with Oracle Forms and PL/SQL – Ability to be creative, to use sound judgment, and to display foresight to identify potential problems and design/specifications and assigned application software systems. – Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. – Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments. – Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. – Ability to work independently. – Experience developing web services (preferably RESTful web services) – Experience using Agile development practices, specifically SCRUM and Kanban. – Experience using continuous integration tools (preferably Continuum or Jenkins) – Experience using version control systems (preferably Subversion or Git) – Familiarity with environmental regulatory business processes and practices. – Knowledge and experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML). – Knowledge and understanding of DEP’s technical environment. – Knowledge of database security, including role-based security. – Knowledge of Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM). – Knowledge of object-oriented design methodologies. – Knowledge of relational and object-oriented database designs.
