Need locals only *REPLY ME ON: adam.sm...@itbtalent.com <adam.sm...@itbtalent.com>* High-level Job Duties: • Develop, modify and maintain all Oracle procedures and functions supporting real time and batch interfaces • Create , modify or maintain Unix scripts for the various batch processes. • Create Data model suitable for high performance load and retrieval to meet the critical SLA. • Participate in full-life cycle development activities including analysis of business requirements, defining standards, creating technical designs, developing solutions and unit testing. • Responsible for participating in the team’s software design reviews and code reviews per Northern Trust’s standards and industry best practices. • Provide technical analysis for current projects; including participating in research, requirements definition and execution. • Assist in maintenance of developed components, as well as best-practices documentation in division knowledge bases. • Document and/or maintain troubleshooting guides and support procedures. • Participate in selection of tools, software, and upgrades. • Provide afterhours fire call support for recently deployed changes and occasional escalation from the Support Team. • Proven ability to handle several assignments simultaneously • Proven ability to work independently • Great communication and people skills Job Requirements Knowledge/Skills At least 8-10 years of experience designing and developing high volume, time sensitive transactional applications for the financial industry using the following: • PL/SQL – Oracle 12c with ability to write complex procedures, functions , packages. Good understanding of oracle privileges and performance tuning techniques. • Data Modelling • Unix/Linux. • TFS • Understanding of Control - M or any other scheduler similar. • Knowledge of Mainframe • Knowledge of Sybase • Experience in data modeling based on the various data warehouse and OLTP concept. • Understanding of Charles River IMS is highly recommended. Or any other Trading system similar • Understanding of Agile methodology and SDLC processes. • Ability to understand and evaluate various third party tools. • Knowledge of Java or .NET is added advantage.
