Cloud computing experience with AWS, Google or Azure a HUGE plus!!! Senior Systems Engineer – Windows/Citrix. Our Datacenter, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to serve as a senior technical resource and divisional top-level technical escalation point in the area of expertise. This position will also support divisional and Global Technology Services through strategies and development of cross-functional solutions and resolve broad, complex problems with medium to long term impact to the Company. In this role, provide advanced levels of systems expertise, lead upgrade & refresh projects and advise senior management and/or executive corporate management on technology issues impacting the Company. The position will provide support, technical guidance, lead Citrix projects and assist other teams with Windows platform upgrade projects in daily activities. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 7+ year’s progressive technical experience in a multiple operating system hardware and/or application platform as well as 7+ years of solutions integration or infrastructure engineering experience on significant and highly complex projects. Broad knowledge of Industry policies, products, markets, processes, technical platforms and major applications as well as an understanding of standard IT principles and practices. Demonstrated technical experience in supporting corporate strategies through the development of cross-functional solutions from a technical and financial viewpoint. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to take highly technical information and present to all levels of management, technical staff, business/professional contacts and vendors. Strong consulting and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated skills in advanced diagnostics and problem solving methodologies. Demonstrated project lead experience in organizing, planning and executing large scale projects from conception through implementation. Specialized Technical Skills: (advanced technical and development experience in one or more disciplines required) Strong hands on experience in Microsoft Windows Server platforms (2008R2 and 2012+). Strong hands on expertise in Windows core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Windows high availability fail over clusters. Strong PowerShell and scripting skills required. Hands on experience with virtual environments based on VMware ESXi required. Use of automated provisioning and configuration technologies such as vRA, Chef and Azure automation is highly desired. Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and supporting complex Citrix environments from XenApp 6.5, 7x. Expertise in Citrix NetScaler is desired. Hands on experience in Citrix upgrades, migrations and deployment of tiered and zoned Citrix environments on Windows Infrastructure in a complex multi domain Active Directory environment. Strong expertise in user profile management, Active Directory Group Policy. Experience in Microsoft Azure, OMS, Azure AD Premium and Office 365 is a big plus. Exceptional skills and proven experience in Infrastructure implementation and support of industry standard high performance datacenter technologies, networks & server systems. Understanding of globally dispersed, tiered & scalable applications, highly available clusters, load balancers and enterprise class storage systems that meet 7 x 24 100% availability objectives. Detailed understanding of global wide area networks, cloud computing technologies, available services and products. Industry standard and relevant technical certifications desired. Strong presentation skills required. Must be able to coach and train junior staff. Must be able to make project presentations to senior leadership.
