*Linux Engineer* *Location: Dublin, OH -Local to OH Only* *Duration: 6-12 Months* *Visa: Any * *Interview: In Person Only* Red Hat Linux Administration and Engineering, DNS and BIND are absolutely required Comm Skills MUST be very good. *Position Title:** Systems Engineer (Linux)* *Required Skills:* 5+ years of experience acting as a Systems Engineer 3+ years of experience with Linux servers (Red Hat preferred) Experience supporting BIND DNS servers Experience using server logs to troubleshoot DNS issues at different sites Experience configuring, maintaining, monitoring, upgrading and troubleshooting servers Experience working with both prod and test servers Scripting experience (Shell, Powershell, Bash, Python, etc.) is required Experience with different Firewalls Must be comfortable working with many different groups leading to successful implementations Experience documenting processes and procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment *Desired Skills: * Experience monitoring network traffic through tcpdump and/or WinDump Familiarity with PCI Compliance is preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study Systems Certifications are desired *Description of Role/Responsibilities: * We are looking for a seasoned Linux Systems Engineer to join a well-known organization headquartered in the greater Columbus, OH area. This person is coming aboard to implement, configure and manage BIND DNS servers in an AWS environment. Responsibilities will include: helping to implement new servers, documenting current DNS environment, writing scripts to automate processes and collecting data from different server logs.
