*Duration: 12+ months* *Required Experience* *Data Modeling (Erwin)– Must have * *SQL Server Experience – Must have* *There will be a MetaData Management Component – Expectations will be for them to create MetaData Libraries and Dictionaries * *Insurance Industry Experience * · Bachelor’s degree (preferred emphasis in computer science or MIS) · 5 + years of experience with Life Insurance and Indexed Annuity systems required · Customer and results oriented · 4 + years of experience with SQL Server 7.0 or higher · 4 + years of experience developing logical and physical data models · Experience in working with Data Governance Policies and Procedures · Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle · Excellent/proven troubleshooting and problem resolution skills · Ability to use SQL development tools such as SQL Navigator and Toad as well as maintain code in source code control systems · Experience in creating Data Marts and other Data Warehousing practices · Strong time management and organizational skills to enable productivity in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment · Knowledge of proper database normalization, indexing, transaction protection and locking is essential · Strong technical documentation ability · Strong verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in team-based development projects · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Must have a teamwork focused attitude and be skilled at building relationships within IT organizations and across business functions *Data Analyst Duties and Responsibilities* *Data Analysis* – · Responsible for direct interaction with the Business Consultants, DBA team and End User to gain a thorough understanding of the data being requested. · Responsible for mapping requested data fields from Third Party Systems to FGL data structures. · Responsible for the creation of data field conversions from Third Party Systems to FGL definitions. · Responsible for working directly with the third party data staff to develop the requested data interfaces. · Responsible for testing the data received from the Third Party Systems for accuracy of format and conversion definitions. · Responsible for providing production support for data when issues arise. *Experience in tools like Erwin and Visio.* · Experience in Data Modeling *Report Design* – · Responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation and summarization of data in the generation of reports for end-users. · Designs and or develops database objects (databases, tables, stored procedures, DTS Packages) to support the collection, tracking and reporting of business data. · Designs, develops and supports reporting tools that utilize advanced features in MS Excel and MS Access, i.e. VBA, macros. *Data Consultation* – · Responsible for acting in a consultative position for answering questions about the available data and the data that it is possible to capture from the third party systems. · Responsible for providing support for miscellaneous data projects. *Regards,* *Kiran,* *StreamIT* *kir...@streamitechnologies.com <kir...@streamitechnologies.com>* *Phone: 267-328-4043 <267-328-4043>* *GT: kiran.ambro...@gmail.com <kiran.ambro...@gmail.com>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
