*Job Description:- *
Release Manager supports the *Global Infrastructure Services* (GIS)
organization by facilitating communication, planning, and execution with
Business Partners to ensure the infrastructure (hardware) can support a
given software deployment.
Release Manager establishes accountability for the day to day operations and
creates a responsible monitoring function (80%)
- *Plan and develop the release:* includes scope definition, establishing
release team to ensure all appropriate disciplines are represented, design,
build, test and acceptance.
- Prepare and execute for release rollout: includes scheduling, training,
communication, and interfacing with change management to ensure all items
being rolled out or changed are secure/traceable via Change Management
procedures.
- Project Manager providing general oversight of the Release to ensure all
activities/key deliverables are being addressed. Communicate and facilitate
partner release details and timelines to GIS teams.
- Manage agreed upon partner expectations of releases and rollouts, ensure
key performance indicators are met and produce release metrics and
associated lessons learned to be applied to future releases.
Release Management Process Owner (20%), takes ownership over the process to
establish accountability.
- Ensures there is a balance between the key components of a good Service
Management environment: people, technology/tool, process and steering.
- Ensure that Release Management process operates effectively and
efficiently
*Required Skills and Experience:- *
- Experience gathering data and capturing the information with pivot tables
and in Excel.
- Experience coordinating IT Infrastructure related projects.
- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
*Desired Skills and Experience:- *
- Experience with pivot table, charting, Outlook, and SharePoint
- *ITIL certification*
- *PMP certification *
- B.A. or B.S. degree.
