*Title : Mid-Level SharePoint Administrator Location : Herndon, VA Duration : 3-6 month contract to hire Rate : Market EAD / Greencard / US Citizen Only !!!!!!* Overview The candidate will work as part of the existing SharePoint team supporting ETS shared service operations. Operations, maintenance, patching and upgrades of MOSS 2007 and WSS 3.0 platforms on virtual and physical servers, site provisioning, data restores, migration of sites across farms, upgrading sites from WSS 2.0 to WSS 3.0, deploying solutions while adhering to standard processes and complying with corporate procedures. Tier 2 technical support is required to meet established SLAs for incidents and service requests. Required Proven experience administering MOSS 2007 farms Strong Microsoft Server troubleshooting skills Experience with Oracle and SQL databases and data warehouses Experience with infrastructure and network technologies including, windows servers, virtual servers, SQL clusters Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent written and oral communication skills Must be willing to work within strict change control guidelines and release management procedures Must be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications skills Desired Experience administering SharePoint 2010 farms Experience with PowerShell Experience supporting enterprise environments and multiple farms Experience with extranet or DMZ environments Experience with Web 2.0 technologies; social networking, blogs, wikis, Experience with PerformancePoint, Project Server, FAST Search, CorasWorks WorkPlace Suite, or Confluence Wikis JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/PROJECT TASKS Assess business requirements and translate into technical solutions. Architect and develop enterprise level business solutions for MOSS 2007, SharePoint 2010 and Microsoft technologies. Develop and package .Net solutions which leverage the SharePoint Object Model and integrate with Oracle and/or SQL Server. Develop web services and workflows using Windows Foundation server or K2. Support software development life cycle methodology (SDLC) for custom solutions. Analyze business requirements and provide written responses. Create presentations and responses to business proposals. Serve as SharePoint SME and internal consultant within the business. Mentor staff and coordinate activities across multiple internal technology towers. Resolve Tier 3 incident tickets.
