We are basically looking for somebody that is an expert on the Informatica ETL tool, especially using Change Data Capture (CDC). They will be utilizing ETL to translate data from 3rd party vendors into their Microsoft CRM tables. Position Summary The Data Integration Specialist will participate in all aspects of data integrations development lifecycle to solve business problems. This candidate is expected to have an expert knowledge of Informatica's toolset and be capable of architecting and supporting complex data integration strategies. This position requires strong communication skills at all levels of the organization. These skills will be used to communicate with the Project Manager, Database Team, Developers, and other Data Integration team members to form consensus and determine optimal data integration designs. This person will work under regular supervision reporting to the Project Manager. Responsibilities • Develop Informatica mappings and/or components according to requirements and High Level Design, with consultation with more senior Informatica developers. • Document developed integration mappings. This includes in-line documentation and standalone documents as may be necessary to describe the implementations of requirements to other team members and supporting staff members. • Analyze Business and Technical Requirements in order to be able to develop or implement required data mappings. • Attend meetings and provide written status reports as needed. Supervisory Responsibility • None. Qualifications (designate requirements vs. preferences) Education • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related subject is preferred. Work Experience • 7+ years of experience with programming languages (C#, Java) preferred. • 5+ years of experience in the development of enterprise wide applications required. • 5+ years of experience in Data Integration required. • 5 years of experience with Informatica (Current version we operate under is 8.6.1) required. Certifications • Any Informatica developer certification preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Must effectively communicate with and be a consensus builder with team members, project managers, and business units and architecture team. • Ensure project success and superior application design by being able to formulate, present and articulate effective and progressive development designs or alternatives which adhere to First Command standards and satisfy customer needs. • Maintain and demonstrate technical proficiency in hardware, operating systems, application development languages, libraries, tools, methodologies, and technologies used by First Command with include, but are not limited to: o Microsoft Windows OS (Server 2003, Server 2008, XP, Vista, Windows 7, etc) o Able to design ETL technical/functional specifications o Web/Internet development tools and techniques o N-tier and distributed architecture o SQL in a relational database such as SQL Server 2008, iSeries DB2, and Oracle 11g required o Database query tools (DBVisualizer, etc) o System monitoring, profiling and other debugging tools used to complement the normal development IDE o Web Service integration(SOAP) preferred o Windows batch file proficiency preferred o Stored Procedures development preferred o CDC (Change Data Capture) experience required Thanks & Regards Yogesh PRUDENT Technologies and Consulting, Inc.
