Location: 12 months Duration: Beaverton, OR * * * * *Job Description* As a Senior Data Engineer you will drive data management and development for many of the solutions that enable Global Sales for the client. You will focus on defining, modeling and engineering to meet the data needs of the sales organization. You will be looked to for driving better integration of database solutions with the applications and web services that they support. You may even be challenged with some application development. You will collaborate with small teams and large teams of application engineers, business partners, off-shore support and others in client's matrixed organization. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and architects to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability, supportability and performance needs. *Qualifications* · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field · 5 years professional IT business experience · 2 years of additional relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree · Excellent communication and influencing skills at both a technical and non-technical level. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills critical. · Expertise with relational database engineering and SQL required. · Expertise in logical and physical data modeling required · Experience with PL/SQL preferred · Familiarity with master data management · Experience developing in object oriented languages such as Java, C# or C++ preferred. · Experience with data integration (ETL, SOA or other technologies) · Experience working in an agile environment preferred. · Strong information seeking skills and drive to make things happen. · Experience supporting / delivering global, high volume transactional solutions required · Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group. · Experience in full life-cycle solution delivery projects (more than 15 people, longer than 6 months) ?
