We have the urgent need for 1 Sr. Project Manager Contractor in Columbus,
Ohio. For 3-6 months contract
*Main Responsibilities *
Manages multiple complex client related infrastructure projects.
Develops detailed project plans and schedules, assembles project
team, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate resources
needed, and monitors progress to ensure timely completion.
Defines activities, sequences them, estimates duration, and
develops schedules.
Charters projects, determines scope definition, develops plans,
verifies with business owners, and manages change control.
Performs resource planning, cost estimation, and cost control.
Plans communication, distributes information as necessary, Executes
all communications; ensures timely and accurate distribution of information,
documentation, and issue resolution to all appropriate team members. and
provides status reporting and escalation.
Performs responsibilities under minimal direction from manager.
Facilitates and implements proper conflict resolution techniques to
ensure timely resolution of critical, time-sensitive issues.
*Skill Set and Education *
Minimum of 5-7 years of combined experience within program
development, systems analysis and/or project management managing
infrastructure projects.
Advanced knowledge of MS Project.
Working knowledge of all functional areas of MIS including
operating systems, networks, problem/change mgmt and project mgmt
methodologies.
Working knowledge of technical/system products.
Advanced understanding of business related issues and needs and
impact to project budget and timeline.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, customer service,
communications, and presentation skills.
BS in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent
experience.
