We are seeking a SQL Server Developer for our direct client in Chevy Chase, MD. Please send resume with rate, location and contact information.**** ** ** Duration: 6+ months**** ** ** Position requires senior level engineer with ability to architect, design, and develop engineering and systems programming solutions for the automated data center management solution. Required experience includes Microsoft Windows Server engineering, use of Microsoft System Center tools, creation of PowerShell scripts, orchestrations, and software-based workflows to deliver end-to-end services that span platforms, infrastructure components, and environments. Responsibility may also include customization of self-service portals, and solution design for SQL Server data warehouse applications. Requirements: • 5+ years systems engineering and systems administration of a Windows-based environment. Expertise with Windows 2008 R2. Must include experience designing, deploying, and maintaining engineering solutions. • 5+ years: Designing, developing, and supporting SQL Server including SSRS, SSIS, Cube Analytics, and Data warehouse in a highly available environment. Experience must including development of custom reports using SSRS. Also must include at least 2 years’ experience with engineering large workload solutions using SQL Server 2008 R2. • 3+ years: script development using PowerShell or Visual Basic for automation of systems administration. • Superior problem solving, design, and analysis skills. • Demonstrated ability to apply expert level technical writing and presentation skills to support creation and publication of project artifacts and documentation. • Proven ability to learn and understand new business systems and detailed business processes. • Candidate must be self-motivated, work independently, and yet function as an integral part of a team. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to present complex ideas to diverse audiences. • Skill in translating high-level concepts into tactical action. • ITIL V3 Foundation and/or MOF V4.0 certification.
