Working with exciting new retail packages.!!* *Retek experience is a plus (not mandatory)* * Key Responsibilities: *Responsible for the technical design and deployment of complex retail systems based on Oracle Retail (Retek RMS). Will assist in all phases of system implementation including design, development, testing and support. Work effectively with customers to learn specific design requirements and perform analysis and design of retail applications. Conducts systems analyses and design studies for current and future applications. Analyzes problems and prepares functional workflow diagrams as well as detailed requirements of program specifications. Prepares and maintains documentation of applications. Provide support to production issues. Work jointly with both functional business analysts and technical development staff to transform business requirements into technical specifications. Research technical issues and provide solutions. Application and user support, troubleshooting, application testing, and post-implementation review of new/changed applications. * Qualifications: *At least 4 years design/development experience in Retek RMS (Oracle Retail) or other Retail ERP package Knowledgeable with relational databases, programming languages and operating systems. Specifically:· RDBMS: Oracle · Programming Languages: PL/SQL, Proc, Java· O/S: Unix, Linux, NTTools: Toad, PVCS/VSS, Visio Experience in architecture and design with emphasis in the following areas: · Development experience on large Oracle implementations· Design efficient solutions utilizing high volume techniques. Full software development lifecycle – from working with business users to help define requirements, through development, testing, release and support. Analytical thinker with proven troubleshooting ability. Familiar with business processes and business terminology. Able to work in a team atmosphere. High energy, good work ethic, positive attitude and excellent communication ability. Ability to work timely and efficiently in a rapidly growing environment. Must be able to work effectively within a team with assignment independence. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical management. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
