Job Title : SQL DBA Work Location : Enon, OH Department : IT Services Start Date : Immediate Need Only GC"S AND CITIZENS Job Overview: Our Client is looking for a SQL Developer that has 3 to 5 years SQL Application development experience. Candidates should demonstrate recent SQL Application development experience in a SQL 2005 / 2008 environment. Candidates long term career path should be SQL Development and SQL Administration. The job is a 12 week contract for hire position. Please provide both the contract for hire hourly billing rate as and salary expectations for each candidate. Eligibility Requirements: A minimum of 3 years experience in the following; a.. SQL Server 2005 / 2008 application development b.. Proficient in TSQL Scripting c.. Experience with DTS and Integration Services (SSIS) d.. Experience with SQL 2005 Reporting Services management, including data-driven subscriptions e.. Experience with SQL Profiler f.. Performance / TSQL trouble-shooting and tuning The following experience is preferred but not required; a.. Database Administration b.. VB.net or similar application development experience is a plus c.. Microsoft DBA certification is a plus Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree (strongly preferred) If Degreed, preferred Major: MIS or Computer Science Core Job Responsibilities: The SQL Developer/DBA will be assigned to both project and support requests. The vast majority of requests require working with members from; · business units (requestors) · Project managers · Business analysts · Development team members · Infrastructure team members · QA test and deployment team members The SQL Developer/DBA will be responsible for; · reviewing project requirements · documenting and presenting design solutions · constructing solutions · unit and integration testing of solutions · certification and user acceptance testing of solutions · deploying solutions to production · providing support for solutions · be on a pager rotation for support purposes Work Experience Desired: · 3 - 5 years experience designing, building and deploying solutions in a Microsoft SQL 2005 / 2008 environment using tools noted in the requirements section · Excellent troubleshooting skills Other Skills: n Outstanding verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate equally effectively with business and technical team members n Excellent team skills n Excellent written communications skills n Must be self motivated working with a sense of urgency n Experience working with a project manager to formulate and use project plans and associated documents n Experience with Microsoft C, C++, C#, .Net, and VBScript preferred but not required -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
