Must have in-depth technical knowledge and experience with Netbackup Java console, Windows console for netbackup, Puredisk console, VTL console, SIR console, Promise Array console, Mainframe access to edit JCL . Good hands on experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of netbackup environment on Windows, Linux clients Experience in designing and architecting SAN & Backup solutions Deep knowledge of ITIL V3 processes Participate in regular Symantec Netbackup system administration & backup and restore activities . Participate in client discussions, understand the backup and restore requirements and provide support for the same. . Perform administration and management of Falconstor VTLs and Tape Libraries . Install and manage Netbackup Master and Media servers, work with client in coordinating with OEMs for any support related to products. . Configuring and Scheduling Backup policies . Troubleshooting and resolving Backup and restore incidents . Coordinate with other functions like storage, network, virtualization, other backup client environemtns and capacity for any cross functional issues/tasks . Tape media management and Offsite Vaulting . Maintaining a Supply of Scratch Volumes in an Automated Libraries . Experience with Netbackup agents for DB Oracle/DB2/SQL etc. . Ensure the client agreed SLA is met for any service requests, incident tickets, problem tickets etc? . Reporting on Backup success/Failures, Data backed up, tape media used etc. . Documenting and updating Backup architecture and configuration details . Independently generates solutions based on analytical, technical skills and business knowledge . Understanding of deduplication technologies .
