We are looking for a talented, passionate and energetic agile project manager to join the Project Management team. You will be working collaboratively with a talented group of business experts, analysts, development and testing teammates to create innovative solutions to our business problems. Our client is embracing the agile mindset and are looking for you to help in our agile transformation. Project Managers are responsible for ensuring the success of their projects goals and objectives. The Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing projects with regards to scope, timeline, and budget. They are also responsible for communicating the health of the project, its progress, and risks and issues with suggested mitigation strategies. While the fundamental processes of a project manager’s role are important, the project manager must also have leadership, communication and collaboration skills necessary to build and lead project teams. The PM must demonstrate effective use of negotiation, analysis and decision-making as methods to balance project demands and keep projects on track. *Education: * Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or Information Technology. *Knowledge and Skills: * This position must have knowledge of standard project management procedures. It requires strength in information systems as well as an outstanding ability to coordinate resources and manage both system and business process implementations. The Project Manager must be able to develop and manage project plans according to a structured agile project management methodology. Other applicable knowledge and skills are: Possesses an agile mindset; Demonstrates leadership; Able to foster a collaborative and team focused work environment; Is a positive influence & behavioral role model for the team; Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to understand technical issues and translate for a non-technical audience and vice versa; Ability to understand and communicate customer needs; Ability to facilitate negotiation and resolve conflict when necessary; Ability to create and execute a complex project plan; Expert project management expertise with the full software development lifecycle and the ability to oversee the rollout of projects and coordinate resource allocation; *Prior Experience: * Successful leadership of projects in a matrixed environment involving: Minimum five (5) years of Project Management experience working on technical, application development, or business improvement projects. Minimum two (2) years experience managing projects in an agile environment. Experience with DSDM preferred. Experience managing a distributed team. Experience with implementation of business process redesign or the implementation of business changes within an organization. Experience managing projects for CRM, PeopleSoft Financials, Business Intelligence and/or web-based applications desired. Understanding of one or more agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, DSDM, Crystal, Lean, etc. Agile certification preferred. *Budget Responsibility: * Responsible for developing project costs utilizing current metrics.
