Please send me your profile along with expection and contact information. * * This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where your opinion and work matter, with great professionals. *Role: Sr. DB2 DBA - 7+ years experience, specializing in Data Warehouse **Location : Charlotte Preferably but anywhere in USA is fine* The DBA will possess a strong DB2 background, should also have knowledge of Netezza, integration with front end and back end components in support of a Netezza Data Marts. *REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: * - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant study - Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Management - Experience in SDLC and best practices for development - Ability to work against mid-level design documentation, take it to a low-level design, and deliver a solution that meets the success criteria - Strong knowledge of DB and DW best practices for query optimization, data management, integrity - Expert SQL skills - Experience working in DB2 Federated and/or Replicated environments - Proficient in data modeling - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines - Knowledge of MicroStrategy and Business Objects XI a plus - Knowledge of AIX/Unix - Experience with TOAD a plus - Experience with ITIL and IT Infrastructure data a plus - Strong knowledge and experience with MPP architectures - Hands on experience in an Netezza env is a plus. - Database modeling and layout - Performance modeling and tuning - Maximo experience a plus - Position requires replication experience. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required.
