Position : LINUX Admin Location : Atlanta, GA Duration : 3 to 6 months contract REQUIRED SKILLS: Minimum of 7-10 Years Experience as a Senior Systems Software Engineer and/or System Administrator in a UNIX/Linux Environment - Preferably in a Cable or Telecom Environment in a leadership role 7-10 years experience as a Technical lead responsible for large scale application design and architecture and software upgrade/installation development Experience Installing and Trouble-shooting UNIX/Linux Software and Operating System Components Strong Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting Languages and System Tools such as BASH, PERL, VI, PYTHON. Strong Hardware and Software Trouble-shooting Skills Minimum of 7 Years Experience Installing, Trouble-shooting, and Maintaining Complex TCP/IP Networks, Routing, and Physical Network Topologies Strong Interpersonal and Communications Skills Effective Customer Communication Skills Relative to the Application of Technical Products and Business Issues Proficient in understanding of Programming technologies. DESIRED SKILLS: Proficient with MongoDB architecture Experience with installation and configuration of Virtualization In-Depth Knowledge of Digital Cable Architecture UNIX/Linux System administration. BASH Shell scripting. Knowledge of DSM-CC, LSCP and RTSP Protocols. Experience creating custom init scripts Experience in setting up and deploying web servers. Knowledge of Ruby on Rails Expertise in installing, trouble-shooting, and maintaining complex TCP/IP networks, routing, and physical network topologies. Job Responsibilities: Works in System Development team developing and architecting MDMS system solutions. Develops and maintain software build process and infrastructure Develops and maintain software imaging process Develops init scripts for the components, with interaction as needed with other components Maintain current drivers for third party applications Maintain current the version numbers of Third party applications used. Assists in implementation decisions of MDMS components, related to Mongo DB layout and AMQP.
