An established PSG client is searching for a Senior MySQL DBA to join their team! The Senior DBA will join a team that supports a large data network which consists of MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and NoSQL databases. The client’s databases are mission critical user-facing products and provide a wide range of services from third party applications to internally developed business applications. Qualified candidates should have at least 6 years experience supporting MySQL databases for a variety of applications (preferably for customer facing websites), experience configuring and troubleshooting replication in high transaction volume environments, and knowledge of troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in both MySQL and SQL Server. Responsibilities will include supporting application owners for database projects, gathering requirements, capacity planning, designing/installing backups, ensuring database best practices, ensuring backups are run properly, diagnosing unplanned incidents, forecasting budget requests, and providing secondary support on other databases.
