Client is looking to hire ETL consultants to design and develop Enterprise
Data Warehouse team in Chicago. This is a technical role requiring
expertise in ETL design and development.

Note: Client is **not using** any third party ETL tool, they use SQL and
perl scripts to Extract,Transform and Load data.
So someone with very strong **SQL/Unix and Teradata DB experience along
with Dataware housing methodologies
**Please make sure that consultant is **willing to work as ETL consultant
without third party ETL tool like Informatica, Ab Intitio, Datstage

*Responsibilities:
*Design, develop and test the ETL processes to build data structures that
serve various reporting/analytical needs
QA the code to ensure high quality code is put in production
Help out with production support as necessary
Adapt to new tools and methodologies as necessary

*Qualifications:
*8+ yrs of experience in the ETL development using SQL

Very strong in SQL. Demonstrated experience with parallel RDBMS
preferred *Teradata,
*
Experience with UNIX and comfortable working with the shell (bash or korn
preferred)
Good understanding of datawarehousing concepts.
Experience working with large data
Be able to work in a challenging, dynamic environment and meet tight
deadlines
Be a good team player
Excellent communication skills
*Strong Programming and/or scripting experience (e.g., python/perl/ruby and
bash/korn etc)
*Hadoop experience a plus
Curiously strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
