Role: Build Release Engineer
Location: NJ
Job Description: ****
The Release Engineer needs to understand fundamental concepts of release
and configuration management. The Engineer has to have a strong
background in version control with a strong background in branching and
merging strategies. Additionally, have experience with the integration of
version control with issue and/or bug tracking systems. The individual
needs to have a strong understanding in build /deploy concepts and
procedures. The Release Engineer needs to understand these concepts in
relation to a Software Development Lifecycle or SDLC. The Release
engineer should have a development background as an application developer
and be familiar with database constructs and procedures. The Release
engineer should have at least 5 years of development experience and 7 years
experience as a Release Engineer and preferably had exposure to the
Financial Industry.
Technical Requirements:
Version Control Tools: Perforce, cvs, svn, clearcase or something
similar
Build Tools: Ant, Maven , Makefile
Programming languages: Perl, ksh, bash, C, Java
Database : SQL Server, Oracle or similar
Issue Tracking Systems: Jira or similar****
