Title: Linux Engineer Location: Scottsdale, AZ Duration : 6Months+ Job Description This company's environment is mostly Linux, but the position entails 50% Linux skills and 50% Windows skills. You will be responsible for building Windows 2008/Linux servers, handle multiple projects, and work with development/PM teams. You will be dealing with high profile information from clients, and replace legacy product lines and help the company get up to speed on newer technology. On the Linux side of things, you will be required to conduct configuration management, set up Java applications, work with Apache web-servers, and databases. There will be little scripting involved as well. On the Windows side of things, you will be required to schedule tasks, manage software package solutions, and manage SQL server. You will also use Tablu for a reporting platform. In addition, you are required to take requirements to get software up and running and hand off the projects tothe operations group.
