Technical Writer
Location: Horsham, PA
Duration: 6 Months
Required skills:
. Basic writing and organizational skills - plus communication and
interpersonal skills. Ability to gather information from various parties
and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
. Experience in writing for a technical audience (need to understand
the technical jargon for a large scale integration project, so having
experience documenting these types of project is
desired).
. Experience in documenting APIs, especially those based on Web
Services and XML, for a technical audience (developers).
. Ability to read and understand the WSDL and schema files (XSD)
that define these web services. (this could probably be taught; the person
would not have to create the WSDL and
Schema files, but would need to be able to understand them)
. Ability to write English clearly and precisely so that it can be
understood by people for whom English is a second language, e.g., Bouygues
engineering and development teams,
Argentina developers, etc.
. Ability to create diagrams for the documentation.
Experience with Microsoft Word.
. Experience with tools that could be used to maintain the documents
long term - especially tool that would decrease the manual work and re-work
required when documents need to
change.
