Ideally we want someone in Michigan or as close to Michigan as possible, they don’t want people relocating from far away. Also, they need health or human services industry experience. *Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:* ? Collaborate with Implementation teams, Operations teams, and technical teams to ensure the creation of the core DW solution that meet business requirements ? Use business requirements to define technical requirements for DW solutions ? Define, document and diagram the application architecture based on technical requirements ? Work with system engineers to complete the technical architecture ? Design technical solutions that are scalable, aligned with the enterprise architecture and can adapt to changes in busines ? Present technical solutions to management, customer groups and project stakeholders ? Lead technical teams (data architecture, data integration, database administration, business intelligence and data analytics) to design and develop the core DW solution based on known requirements and industry best practices ? Collaborate with DBAs, application specialists and technical services to recommend a DW architecture designed for performance, flexible and scalable ? Assist in the design, development, documentation and application of best practices and procedures that govern DW implementations and operations ? Support new DW opportunities by contributing to solution design, answering questions and developing proposal materials ? Stays informed of current technologies and best practices. *Required Skills* ? Proven success as a DW architect, delivering solutions for large (multi-terabyte) projects that integrate many diverse technologies and products ? In depth understanding of DW implementation and ongoing operations best practices and application development best practices ? 5 years experience hands on DW technical development; data architecture, data integration, business intelligence and data analysis tools ? 5 years experience leading DW technical implementation teams; data architecture, data integration, business intelligence and data analysis tools ? 5 years experience developing technical architecture for DW implementations ? In depth understanding of RDBMS applications (Oracle, Exadata preferred) ? In depth understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling practices and where they are best utilized ? In depth understanding of data integration best practices, leading industry applications and features such as master data management, entity resolution, data quality assessment, metadata management, etc. ? In depth understanding of business intelligence applications and how to integrate with other DW solution components ? In depth understanding of security models and methods to protect information in the DW solution ? In depth understanding of DW and ETL tools, and modeling and automation capabilities ? Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience ? Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with technical teams, project management, client management and customer stakeholders *Desired Skills* ?
