*Role: Cognos Functional Consultant* *Location *Columbus, OH** *Duration *6 Plus Month Contract* * Rate Cap: $50/Per Hour All Inclusive Client: State of Ohio Interview: Telephone – Skype Interview Positions: 3 * * *Job Description:* Senior IBM Cognos application troubleshooting and installation experience. 5 plus years installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cognos versions 7 to 10. * * *Cognos experience a must!* Oversees the development and implementation of detailed systems. Oversees the completion of requirement definitions, functional specification, database design, system and technical architecture definition, implementation and unit system testing and development. Provides both management and technical leadership. Utilizes project management tools to estimate projects and monitor planning and progress techniques. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Delivers consulting project activities, ranging from client identification through final invoicing through medium- to long-term engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment. Performance is typically evaluated based on billable hours and contractual deliverables. Project management activities include interaction with company and client managers and cost/schedule monitoring. Financial responsibilities include project cost estimating, proposal generation, and invoicing. May participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities. Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization. Viewed by customers as a consultant and performance is typically measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours. * * *REQUIREMENTS:* Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. * *JOB COMPLEXITY:* Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
