Job Title: Build Configuration Manager Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 6 Months Contract Job Description This open position is for Subversion administrator on the Software Configuration Management (SCM) team for the Consumer Internet Group (CIG). The candidate will specifically work to manage and administer Subversion repositories. Given the wide range of applications supported by CIG, the candidate will be responsible for Subversion administration, merges, branch creation and user support, create and maintain Subversion hooks and scripts for notifications and automation. Standardize software development processes. Import pre-existing source code from other CM tools into ClearCase UCM Projects. Development within CIG takes place in Columbus, Wilmington, Chicago, New York, Seattle and India on a 24x7 cycle. As such, the candidate will be providing 24 hour daily technical support to all development teams. The candidate will work with Senior Source Code (SVN) Administrator managing the implementation and maintenance of this tool, and all associated tasks, including coordination of creating of new branches and work streams, code merging from one release to next release, build-coordination, and migration to test and production environments and is expected to work closely with all the development teams and suggest best practices of Subversion. The tool will support the work effort of at least 900 developers across multiple platforms and Sites. Candidate should have significant experience in Subversion maintenance and administration and should have exposure to ClearCase, Gits maintenance and administration, preferably in a multi-site development environment. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of the SCM process and best practices. This position will report to a SCM Manager, who will coordinate with various teams in CIG to execute on the delivery approach to meet multiple concurrent project delivery needs. Skill Sets / Qualifications Subversion installation and administration on multiple platforms. Scripting experience using Perl, ANT. Development exposure to .NET and Java technologies. Exposure to Web Sphere and Weblogic application servers, Exposure to Windows XP, AIX, and Solaris server environments.
