*Senior JAVA Developer/IT Consultant*

*Summary*: Software developer for web applications on the Java Enterprise
Edition platform. This is a hands-on position.



*General Experience (Required):*

· 7-10+ years’ experience coding using Java Enterprise Edition ( JEE;
formerly known as J2EE). Must demonstrate proficiency and a desire to code
and be able to discuss strategies for learning new software API’s without
the need for formal training.

· Experience leading at least two software development projects through all
phases of the SDLC and directly representing the project team to the
project stakeholders as a technical subject matter expert.

· Familiarity with the software lifecycle processes including Agile and
Test Driven Development (TDD) techniques

· Proficient in the Hosted Environment - understands the purpose of each
device in a data center and how a request traverses the devices to provide
an end-user or calling system data while maintaining security and integrity.

· Able to speak to best practices in logging, monitoring, and alerting so
that proactive support can occur, and when problems arise must show
experience in determining root cause and recommendations to mitigate root
cause beyond simply fixing bugs.



 *Experience and proficiency in Key Technologies (Required):*

· WebSphere (or similar application server)

· Oracle (or similar RDB)

· Linux (or other unix based OS)

· Hibernate

· UML

· SQL

· JUnit

· Spring Framework

· Design Patterns and Software Development Best Practices

solutions which are maintainable and reflect industry best practices.

in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards/processes.
Integrates industry experience and deep professional/technical knowledge.

· ANALYSIS/PROBLEM SOLVING - Solves unique problems through evaluative
judgment/precedent. Independently applies sophisticated analysis in
evaluating issues. Recognizes/pursues alternative methods.

· INDEPENDENCE - Guided by team goals/objectives. Exercises latitude in
determining objectives/approaches to projects.

· COMMUNICATION - Provides technical guidance and explains advanced
concepts to others. Promotes active listening and open communication.

 *Education*

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in an approved field such
as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or
Mathematics from an accredited university.
