Through understanding of core business and service objectives and processes, this position will translate those needs into a clear definition of system and requirements, culminating in the production launch of systems and/or enhancements that obtain those objectives. - Provides application level project management throughout the lifecycle of a project / program by directing the efforts of project(s) using dotted-line authority to deliver a completed project and/or service. - Has accountability for managing concurrent high complexity projects which may span multiple functional roles and/or teams in a matrixed team environment. - Responsible for detailed planning including estimating, resource allocation and assignment (not the direct Resource owner), detailed scheduling, critical path analysis, consolidating project plans and negotiating any sequencing conflicts. - Directs project activities utilizing the organization's standard processes to ensure the timely delivery of stated business benefits, comparing actuals to plans and adjusting plans as necessary. - Assesses, plans for, and manages project risks including mitigation & contingency plans; manages issues, jeopardies, escalations and problem resolutions. - Defines project scope and ensures changes to scope and deliverables are managed using the change control process. - Manages the delivery of artifacts required by AT&T IT SDLC process for assigned projects. - Responsible for providing project status to Project Management team leads as well as status and readouts to application leadership. Job Requirements: Desired Skills/Certifications – - PMP Certification - Project Management experience in Telecom industry (preferably AT&T IT) - Two/three years+ experience in Project Management - Knowledge of SOX Compliance in respect to Projects adherence is a plus.
