Job title: Senior Oracle DBA Duration: 6+months Location: Dunwoody GA (locals need) This individual needs to be highly skilled in the Oracle data space, and must have in-depth experience in architecture, design, builds, SQL tunning, and RAC implementation and support. This resource needs to have expert experience with RAC. Job Responsibilities: 1. Provide expert, hands-on support of mission-critical RAC databases. 2. Design physical models and work with development teams on optimization of SQLs. 3. Tune databases as appropriate to maintain predefined service level agreements. 4. Enforce company change control, patch management and information security standards and procedures. 5. Collaborate and consult with DBA team mates to help perform all of the above on Oracle databases assigned to others. 6. Maintain open and honest communications with clients, team mates and management for purposes of providing ongoing, timely status reporting. 7. Assist the current team in formalizing standards, uniform deployment methods, documentations. 8. Assist in developing proper run books for the production support teams. 9. Level 3 support of production databases in the event the production team cannot solve the issues. 10. Willingness to go above & beyond to keep the customers happy. 11. Upgrade databases to a new platform/version using goldengate. 12. Production support of GoldenGate replication. 13. Architect Exadata and implement best practices. Required Skills and Experience: Good Oral and Written Communication Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Senior Oracle DBA. Experience and proficient with RMAN, ASM, and Data Guard. Experience with multi-Terabyte databases. Extensive experience with RAC, ASM and SQL performance tuning Experience in GoldenGate migrations & day to day goldengate support. Experience with Exadata. Desired Skills: Oracle streams.
