Role: Portal UI expert Location: Schaumburg, IL Customer requirement is have an Portal UI expert to accomplish the below tasks 1. To improve the user experience for the portal, primarily to change the look and feel of the portal home page. 2. To improve the portal home page performance by optimizing the existing themes and skins in the portal (Currently themes are taking long time to load). Deliverables 1. Portal UI detailed study and identify areas which can be improved (with industry best practices). 2. Portal Themes and Skins analysis to improve the performance and implement the changes. Detailed JD: 1. Expert level hands-on experience in portal UI design, to provide enhanced user interface. 2. Experience in improving the UI page load performance through intelligent and sophisticated design. 3. Experience in designing and implementing portal themes and skins by leveraging industry best practices. 4. Expert level knowledge and exposure to optimizing portal themes and skins, through redesign and code optimization. 5. Performance tuning experience in IBM WPS suite using WAS 7.0 and higher versions. 6. Ability to implement compression of home pages through configuration changes to improve page rendering performance. 7. Expert level experience in redesigning applications which are built using DOJO, JSF, JSR, JQuery, Servlet and Portlets, to improve application performance.
