*In the role of a Senior Systems this person will be responsible for*: - Managing the caching technologies used by online IT Teams, specifically WebSphere eXtreme Scale (WXS). - integration of WebSphere eXtreme Scale (WXS) with WebSphere Commerce Server (WCS) platform - Software and infrastructure configuration management for all Online IT projects and environments - Software and infrastructure Implementation and rollback planning and execution - Managing the processes and tools used for software builds - Managing releases through all Software Development Lifecycles including production - Preparation and support of SDLC environments for development, testing, and staging - Managing dynamic change management process to ensure stable Website Operations - The Sr. Systems Engineer develops, maintains and supports The Home Depot's technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components for moderately complex projects. - Performs configuration, debugging and support for multiple infrastructure platforms on moderately complex projects. - Performs root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management. - Perform store & SSC engineering and roll-out implementation. Ability to present ideas and manage projects. Interface with Business Stakeholders on complex projects. Update manager on escalated issues. May operate as a team lead guiding newer associates or interns. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY - - Perform installation, maintenance and support of system software, hardware and infrastructure and user support for moderately complex projects. May oversee this effort if acting in team lead capacity. - Perform store & SSC engineering and roll-out implementation. - Perform configuration, debugging and support for infrastructure platform for moderately complex projects. - Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures. - Provide technical direction to System and Associate Engineers, Operations Specialists, and contractors. - Interface with Business Stakeholders on all applicable projects. Update manager on all escalated issues. QUALIFICATIONS - - *Strong experience in caching technologies* - *Strong in-depth experience in WebSphere eXtreme Scale (WXS)* - *Experience with WebSphere Application Servers and WebSphere Commerce Server* - Strong WebSphere Application Server and the MQ/Message Broker products. - Strong SDLC process knowledge to support parallel development and infrastructure efforts - Extensive experience planning, coordinating, and executing complex software and infrastructure releases - Experience with configuration management processes and tools for tracking and promoting changes through the SDLC - Strong scripting and automation background.
