The Infosec elements to be implemented include: laptop whole disk encryption, two-factor authentication for VPN, security information and event management, data discovery and classification, desktop patch management and privileged user management. Managing multiple, parallel Infosec efforts will require a well-defined program and governance approach for the Project Definition, Design, Implementation, Configuration, Testing, Pilot, Training, Operational Readiness, and Communication phases to ensure not only the success of each initiative, but that also separate initiatives do not conflict or break other Infosec and non-Infosec initiatives.
