* Title: Network Security Architect* *Duration: 6+ months Location : **Houston, TX* • Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting network security for enterprise customers (preferably within a datacenter environment) • Extensive experience in security configuration of network and security devices in a large enterprise environment (routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems) • Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting one (1) or more of the following Cisco security technologies: ISE, IPS, ASA, CSM, VPN • Detailed understanding of TCP/IP protocols • detailed understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP) and layer 2 protocols and technologies • Experience in project management, ability to clearly communicate security planning and technology issues verbally on both a formal and informal basis to all levels of client staff *Recommended Certifications and Educational Background:* • CCNP, CCSP, CCIE desired. • One (1) or more of the following industry certifications: CISSP, SANS GIAC, NSA IAM *REQUIRED SKILLS: * • Expert-level knowledge in network security design, architecture and implementation. • In-depth knowledge of systems and network security *PREFERRED SKILLS: * • CCNP or higher, mainly focused on Cisco ASA with NAT 8.2, 9.1, Firewall rules, L2L VPN, AnyConnect Premium posturing with DAP’s, and Cisco ISE 1.2 with SGT and SGA familiarization. *Network Infrastructure Architect * • Will be responsible for defining the technology architecture and future technology vision of the platforms • Responsible for ensuring that technical solutions align with the enterprise architecture principles including reducing complexity and adopting proven technical solutions to mitigate risk. • Must have a thorough and broad understanding of various technology platforms and be able to engage in discussions with technical subject matter experts and not be swayed in technical decisions. • Provides objective appraisals of technology and develops pattern based re-usable architecture artifacts including documenting key architecture decisions • Deep Infrastructure Architecture expertise of Distributed Database Systems, Network Architecture, Server and Storage Virtualization and Cloud computing. • Application Infrastructure knowledge of Performance Management, Desktop and Telephony Systems. *Required Skills/Experience * • Experience with Distributed Database Systems, Web Portals, SSO Identity and Access management, Network Architecture, Server and Storage Virtualization and Cloud computing, J2EE Middleware and ESB technologies, Performance Management, Desktop and Telephony Systems Modeling integration of applications and systems • Prior experience consulting on planning, migration and implementation issues for information technologies and related architectural concepts. • Understanding of emerging technologies • Ability to be vendor/product-neutral and maintain an objective perspective business knowledge • Ability to effectively convey the results of the architecture • Provide architecture requirements and blueprints to design teams and review the project designs per the governance process • Conduct Non-functional review of business requirements and produce system availability, scalability and maintain technical requirements for build/design *Preferred Skills/Experience* A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business/IT consulting roles within large corporations preferred. • Typically required to summarize and present findings to executive levels.
