Please find the below details. *Position:- **Backup & Storage Engineer* *Location:- St. Louis Park, MNDuration:- 6+ months* *Job Description:* *Backup* 1. Skilled CommVault administrator 2. Capacity Planning CommVault Media Agent (data repository) 3. Client Readiness test 4. Job Summary metrics 5. T5 Storage management (Onsite support required) 6. Generate monthly metrics 7. CommVault version upgrades, patching & vendor support 8. Respond to requests for Legal-Holds and Preservations 9. Perform second level troubleshooting of backup failures 10. Daily CommVault environment checks 11. Troubleshoot Level 2 backup failures 12. Engage with other engineering teams to troubleshoot performance, and backup failures *Storage Administration* 1. Be available for any escalation in SAN environment 2. Zone, Provision and Document (track WWN's, ports and cable numbers) for all new SAN attached servers. 3. Coordinate with vendor drive failure replacements 4. Coordinate, Schedule, submit change control and arrange data center access for vendor software/firmware, capacity updates. 5. Create (on-the-spot-) graphs and charts to assist with perceived storage performance issues. Using SAN tools such as Tuning Manager and Brocade Network Advisor 6. Investigate why alerting thresholds are being exceeded and then notify the appropriate group (DBA or Application owner) or make appropriate changes based on alert 7. Produce monthly storage capacity trending documents using SAN tools such as Device Manager, and Tiered Storage Manager 8. Provision and allocate storage to servers per requests received in SD. In today's environment this is a manual task that has to be completed on a request-by-request basis. With the new compute infrastructure this will be more automated with pre-defined pools. This process will have to be documented as part of the new compute builds. 9.
