Title: Cognos Developer posted on 2014-07-24 12:47:28 Job Description:*Job Functions:* · Cognos Developer · Interact with business customers and BSAs to define requirements · Experience with Cognos Metrics Studio · Experience with Cognos admin and migrations. · Follow DTNA development methodology · Excellent Communication *Basic Qualification:* · Cognos developer · Candidate must have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Cognos development. · Experience in Cognos 10 (Reports Studio, FM, Transformer and other Studios), · Strong Knowledge in SQL is mandatory, · Strong DB2 database , Data Modeling, Experience with TM1 is prefered · Experience with DB2 LUW, MF DB2 and SQL Server databases desirable · Ability to work closely with senior level business managers to derive requirements. · A general understanding of OLAP tools and experience with informatica is required. · The candidate should also have experience in custom legacy systems integration and integration of multiple data sources, Data modeling experience will also be added advantage. · Ability to quickly prototype solutions and estimate cost of developing short and long-term solutions. · Above average communication skills (both oral and written). A working knowledge of the automotive industry desirable, knowledge of the heavy duty truck manufacturing business is preferred. · Professionalism, strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment are essential. · Documentation and mentoring skills in both BI best practices and technical knowledge is required. · Must have a proven track record in meeting budget and schedule for tasks while still meeting or exceeding business requirements and goals.
