Title: Network engineer posted on 2014-09-08 21:10:06 Job Description:Performs telecom and networking related operational support, administration, compliance and configuration, and contributes to and drives Policy setting and implementation with regard to the voice and video infrastructure. This position requires advanced knowledge of VoIP, video and telephony principles in order to support the converged voice/data-networking environment deployed internally. Responsible for service availability for all IT telephony and video devices, management of 3rd party voice circuits, capacity planning and monitoring, and policy design and implementation. The successful candidate will also responsible for creating, documenting and implementing standardized configuration for all IT voice and video devices, in accordance with the direction of the Network Engineering discipline manager and senior subject matter experts, while also providing backup support for all IT internal network infrastructure. This position is required to participate on the 24x7 on-call support rotation, and to perform out of hours maintenance work. Responsibilities • As a subject matter expert, the role involves being an escalation point for our Global IT Helpdesk. • Resolve operational issues involving all VoIP, video and converged endpoints, • Assist in the system-level configuration and maintenance of Cisco IP communication applications: Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Unified Meeting Place, Unified Presence, VCS and VCS Expressway, TMS, WebEx. • Implementation and configuration of Cisco voice gateway with survivable remote site telephony (SRST), H323, SIP and MGCP. • Prepare and maintain documentation detailing configuration of deployed solutions • Contribute to the disaster recovery plan for IP based telephony and video solutions • Voice/Video capacity planning, monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting • Perform circuit provisioning and upgrades for Internet, voice and MPLS services • Configure and troubleshoot voice and video services from endpoint to endpoint and across the corporate IT network infrastructure. • Standardization of voice and video topology environment • Contribute to strategic objectives of the organization, with specific focus on Unified Communications and Fixed Mobile Convergence. Qualifications Desired Skills & Experience Required Skills/Experience • Expert knowledge of CUCM(Cisco Unified communications manager) configuration and troubleshooting, with strong understanding of the following concepts: International Dial Plans, Calling Search Space/Partitions, Media Resource management, CAC and QOS, Mobility, LDAP Integration, and Cisco Licensing. • Expert knowledge of Tandberg & Cisco video conferencing configuration and troubleshooting, both at the system and endpoint level. • Expert knowledge of SCCP, SIP, H.323, H.320 protocols for voice and video calling. • Working knowledge of Layer 2 & 3 Networking Concepts • Demonstrated knowledge of legacy PBX telephone systems and voice mail systems • Demonstrated knowledge of a telecom and backbone network infrastructure (i.e., local & long distance Telco’s, Telco products, TFN's, QoS, Routing etc.). • Strong analytical and organizational skills, including attention to detail • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple objectives and initiatives • 5-7+years of IT experience in VoIP and Unified communication environment • 3-5+years of experience with Cisco Unified Communication platform • CCNA/CCNP or relevant experience • 4 years degree in Computer Science or related field required • Relevant Cisco voice/video certifications, such as CCVP or CCIE Voice, and TCE are a plus. *Click here to view full job description and apply <http://www.ejobsville.com/display-job/239122> (Registration not mandatory to apply for this job)* ------------------------------ Best regards, eJobsVille.com - For The Best Tech Jobs In Town -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
